A Baking Soda Recipe for Teeth Whitening

Baking soda is found in many toothpastes, notably Arm and Hammer Toothpaste, and is recommended for use by many dentists. To use baking soda to whiten your teeth, mix six teaspoons of baking soda and four teaspoons of glycerin. Mix this solution together and add one third of a teaspoon of salt and peppermint extract to taste. Stir this together until it’s completely mixed together and store it in an airtight container. You’re all done, use this solution to brush your teeth to whiten your teeth.
If you want to add some extra whitening power to this solution, once you are done brushing your teeth, use a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water as a gargle. Hydrogen peroxide is one of the main ingredients used in dental teeth whitening. Make sure the solution is properly diluted however, or you risk irritating your stomach and intestines. Shoot for about twenty-five percent hydrogen peroxide and seventy-five percent water.
